Little Hugs and The SWFL Foster and Adoptive Parent Association
Little Hugs, aka The Ryan Batchelder Foundation has partnered with The Southwest Florida Foster and Adoptive Parent Association to help ease anxiety and reduce stress in children being removed from their homes to protect them from alleged abuse or neglect. The SWFL Foster and Adoptive Parent Association will work in cooperation with The Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, to ensure “Little Hugs” are given to children at the time they are being removed and transported to a temporary home or shelter. The Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, contracts with the Department of Children and Families, and is the lead agency responsible for overseeing the child welfare system in Southwest Florida.
